Strategically located in the heart of Georgetown, just 15 minutes from Ogle International Airport, the Four Points by Sheraton will serve as a premier destination for business travelers and tourists. The hotel will feature:

• A restaurant and two bars
• An outdoor pool
• 16,000 sq. ft. of meeting space
• 25,000 sq. ft. of commercial area

This project aligns with Guyana’s growing tourism sector and aims to deliver a worldclass experience with modern, sustainable infrastructure.

Sustainability and Innovation The Four Points by Sheraton Georgetown is designed with a strong focus on sustainability. The hotel aims to become the first in Guyana to achieve EDGE Advanced certification and possibly the first EDGE Zero Carbon certification in Latin America and the Caribbean. Key sustainability initiatives include:

• A rooftop solar power system to reduce energy consumption
• Local sourcing of decor and materials from the Arawak Indigenous community
• Advanced water and energy-saving systems

These efforts contribute to a greener future while promoting local economic development.

Economic and Social Impact

This project plays a crucial role in Guyana’s economic growth, generating over 150 jobs during construction and more than 60 permanent jobs once operational. Additionally, up to 40% of food and beverage supplies will come from local producers, further boosting Guyana’s supply chain.

Construction Progress

As of April 2023, 80% of the foundation work has been completed, with the hotel expected to open by the third quarter of 2024.
